Hand-blown on the island of Murano, the Tavolino Smeralda 40 is characterised by its cool emerald tone and softly rounded volume. Formed in a single fluid motion, the piece preserves delicate shifts in colour and the internal movement traces created at the very moment the molten glass settled into form.
Its gentle transparency and sculptural curvature interact subtly with light, casting shifting refractions and quietly altering the atmosphere of the room. As with all Tavolini editions, each piece is unique, a result of the inherent unpredictability of the glassblowing process.
